The Ides of May

Not much to comment on. It’s been a tick over a month and things are still doing the roller coaster thing… Some days are spent performing administration duties and trying to locate parts, supplies and information. Others I get to stay in the shop and do the fun stuff! Find electrical shorts on old Bonnies, resuscitate a CB360 that hasn’t run since 2000, or simply fix a C109 that was serviced at another shop to the detriment of man and machine. And the ever present something that needs the carbs cleaned due to the high level of ethanol in the stuff they call gasoline… And as they try to pass legislation requiring even greater percentages, I hope common sense prevails and they find some way to exempt motorcycles and the power sports industry from this poison… The only vehicles that should use it are those made specifically for that purpose, as it has properties that harm materials commonly used to store and carry gasoline from your tank to the injectors or carb. Well, that’s my little rant on the subject that has a multitude of antagonists speaking out clearly and rationally against it’s viability, but still the Capitol Hill pols will probably leave it all under one blanket clause of idiocy…
