The Good Old Summertime!!

I guess it’s a good thing, but I’ve been too busy trying to get bikes serviced and back on the road that I have neglected the website…. I gotta make hay while the sun shines, and this is surely the time of year we all want to ride the back roads at a little slower pace, just soaking in the gentle warmth before summer throws down the gauntlet and buries us in his wrathful humidity and sweltering temps. I’m trying to make the ’53 ES2 Norton happy, as it turns 60 years old on June 26…. Two more days and I hope to at least get her over to the shop under her own power. Still haven’t had time to diagnose the charging system, but with a fresh charge on the battery and a short prayer for Mercy, a 15 mile jaunt should be quite possible! Pics to follow!!

This old Honda came in the shop just to get running. It’s become quite popular to modify these bikes into “cafe racers”, “rat rods” or customs. Can’t wait to see what the finished product will look like!!

Isle of Man

One of these fine days, I’d like to make the trip to the Isle of Man TT races with my pal Kevin, the guy who has me leaning towards that endeavour. In the meanwhile, these helmet decals will have to do. They benefit the Joey Dunlop Foundation which helps riders and/or their families who have been hurt whilst racing the TT track, infamous for it’s beauty and danger. And a chance to win an Arai helmet to boot!!

You can find these stickers at http://www.joeydunlopfoundation.com/. Fantastic!
