I have always been fascinated by vintage bikes (ancient may be a better term) that have exposed valve springs and rockers. Just something esoterically beautiful to watch the workings of an internal combustion motor ticking and tapping outside it’s exoskeleton. So, when I paused to photograph my progress on this Harley rebuild, the valves and springs jutting above the cylinder head immediately caught my eye and took me back to a time I never resided in but still reminisce of and hopeĀ  to keep alive through these old motorbikes as I try to keep them chuffing down the road.
