Installing a new exhaust system on the Bonnie. Fabricating a bracket to utilise the pea shooter mufflers. So far it’s coming along nicely and just needs a bit more fettling to make me happy.

I still need to seal the tank and stop one niggling oil leak (as if) and she will be ready to put some miles on to work out any delightful nuances that might arise….

I found the oil leak was the front push rod tube seals, which meant the head and cylinder had to be removed. I de-carboned the top end, de-glazed the cylinder and replaced all the gaskets and seals. No more leaks and the bike runs just as pretty as you please!! It’s surprising how much power these bikes make when they have good compression and clean carbs!!
