Click n Clack

This little CB got too warm without adequate lubrication to the left hand cylinder… Chewed up and spit out the cam, cam lobes and was workin hard on the piston and cylinder walls! Thankfully, it didn’t harm the bottom end or the cylinder head itself. I found replacement parts for the customer to buy on e-bay that will make the bike repairable and keep it under budget.

Notice the rocker arm pads on the left are smooth and lovely while the pads on the right are gnarly and chewed on!! Also the cam bearing to the immediate left of the damaged rockers shows obvious signs of scoring and a large crack in the fatigued metal is clearly visible even with a cheap little camera...This engine was just moments from grenading!!
