Molasses in Summer

Things never seem to go as planned or hoped for…. This lovely old Norton should have been finished weeks ago, but alas, time slips by waiting on parts, or fabricating brackets or fettling the new items that don’t quite fit like the old. Every Monday brings me closer to topping off the fuel tank and trundling down the street on a test ride. The new Amal carbs are on and  the original air filter housing has been modified to keep the ingress of air clean and happy. Soon.

Twins of a different era.

An old, broken down side stand, replaced by a modern counterpart that is better in quality, but I feel lacks the artistic beauty of the original. Still, it isn’t totally utilitarian, as the designer and creator tried to capture the essence of the first piece whilst making it stronger and sleeker. Succeed they did.

Something old, something new.

Something old, something new.
