1962 BSA A65 Lightning

This wonderful bike has had extensive repair here at G6. From the topend rebuild to front fork seals and a new kick start ratchet gear that was so worn the kicker lever would get jammed… She runs like a proverbial Swiss watch with new valves and guides, oversize pistons (we installed 0.020″ OS because the bore was still standard!!!) and a plethora of new and updated parts!!  Simply a new lease on life to another timeless classic British motorbike!!

BSA Beauty

Another beautiful British motor bike ready for trundling through Virginia’s verdant countryside! New valves and guides, cylinders bored .040″ oversize, new Amal carbs and a couple of oil leaks dammed up after a bit of fettling. Took her for a test ride today and those classic good looks and extraordinary teardrop tank emblem had folks twisting their necks to get a better view of this 1967 BSA A65 Lightning as she gobbled up the miles! A fellow on a brand new Gold Wing F6B even pulled next to me at a traffic light and expressed his admiration for the old girl!! A passion for two wheels also!!

And here.

A65L Beazah

Another long term toy I get to play with!! This 1970 BSA Lightning 650 is the first Beazah to come through the doors at G6 MotoSports! First step is to remove the massive store of bird seed and whatever else some mice family (I hope, assume) has stock piled in the mufflers and beyond? But once we get some heat flowing and know the engine and tranny are up to snuff, we will then proceed with a thorough reconditioning…. Yes, I love my job!!
