CB350 Melt Down

I had to search high and low to find replacement parts for this sweet 1969 CB350. Old age, high mileage and an obvious lack of oil wiped out the cam and rocker followers. New parts are no longer available from Honda (of course) and the aftermarket hasn’t begun producing hard parts for these bikes even though Honda flooded the market with them for nearly a decade. But someone in the Far East still has NOS items for sale that really weren’t that pricey unless you consider what the parts cost forty seven years ago… I was just thrilled to find them to keep another vintage CB toolin down the road!!

Not sure how old this packaging is, but I'm pretty sure it predates PC's.

The part bag was still sealed from the factory!

Silicon and Triumph

Just finished extensive repairs and upgrades on this magnificent 1969 Triumph Bonneville T120R. Fixed all the oil leaks, rebuilt front suspension, replaced rear brake drum and installed new shoes all around, cleaned carbs and fettled a myriad of niggling issues with electrical connections, missing or damaged hardware and removal of silicon sealer where it never should have been. So often I find previous repairs inordinately smeared with mounds of silicon on any old bike, but someone attempted to replace o-rings on the fork seal holders with it on this bike! Ehh, it don’t work like that…
